 Easter breakfast recipe.

 Confederate Coffee Cake
 
 1/2 cup butter, softened                               2 teaspoons baking powder
 1 cup sugar                                                 cinnamon, nutmeg
 1/2 cup milk                                                chopped nutmeats
                                                                    (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
3 eggs                                                    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
 
 Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar.
 Add milk and unbeaten eggs, mix well.
 Sift together flour and baking powder; blend into creamed mixture, adding a
dash  of nutmeg.
 Poor batter into a well-greased loaf cake pan.
 Sprinkle batter with nutmeg, cinnamon, nuts and sugar; dot well with butter.
 Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven for 20 minutes.
